Kia unveiled today the new generation Sorento SUV, set to make a public appearance during this year Paris Motor Show, in October.
The car follows the lines introduced by Peter Schreyer, showing a more evolutionary design with upscale influences. The tiger-nose grille is now a three-dimensional diamond pattern and is flanked by sweptback headlights. The high sloping roofline and the plastic body cladding along with chrome inserts and a roof spoiler complete the design package.
A design package that created in Kia’s Namyang design studio in Korea, with the help of other design centers around the world: Frankfurt, Germany and Irvine, California.
The new generation comes with an increased length of 4780 mm (+95 mm more than the previous generation) and with a decreased height of 1685 mm (15 mm lower than the old model).
The wheelbase is now 2780 mm, 80 mm longer, and can offer space for three passengers on third row seat.
The all-new Kia Sorento will be showcased first in Korea in late August.
