Kia unveiled the new generation Sedona, ahead of its debut during New York Auto Show. The car will replace the old Coreean MPV and will try to offer much more interior comfort and a roomier cabin.
 
The exterior design comes with new headlights, an imposant grille, wraparound taillights and generous windows. The panoramic roof also helps the cabin receive more light. The tailgate receives a small spoiler, while the 17 inch alloy wheels ensure a modern look.
 
Inside the cabin, Kia uses quality materials, soft plastics, a wider center console, more space room in the front, second and third rows. They will also benefit from leg rest support on the second row. The dashboard will feature a big touchsreen, featuring thw new generation UVO Infotainemnt system, configured to offer four new eServices features: Geo-fencing, Speed Alert, Curfew Alert and Driving Score. The users will also have the chance of downloading applications from AppStore and Google Play, including Pandora Radio.
 
The new generation features a higher torsional rigidity thanks to a new chassis made of steel. This contributes to the safety of the car, which also comes equipped with Vehicle Stability Management, Smart Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a Forward Collision Warning System.
 
Under the bonnet, Kia uses a new generation V6 3.3 liter engine, meant to replace the old V6 3.5 liter engine. The new unit offers 276 bhp and 248 lb-ft (335 Nm) of torque, while connected to a six speed automatic transmission, that will ensure efficiency and good response.
 
The new 2015 Sedona will reach showrooms later this year, with pricing to be announced.
