Kia has officially unveiled the 2015 Euro-spec Optima sedan. The car will be showcased during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show the event that will kick off on September 15. 

The car is set to go on sale later this year and features a tiger-nose grille, sweptback headlights, LED taillights and special 16 to 18 inch alloy wheels. 

The new 2015 Kia Optima is 4855 mm long, 1860 mm wide, 1465 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2805 mm. As a result, the car will offer enough space for five passengers. Also inside the cabin we see a new infotainment system that works with a 7 or 8 inch display, a wireless smartphone charger and a 10 speaker Harman Kardon audio system. 

Under the hood, the 2015 Kia Optima will come with a 2.0 liter CVVL unit rated at 163 horsepower and 196 Nm peak of torque. The car will also be available with a 1.7 liter CRDI unit that can deliver 141 horsepower and 340 Nm peak of torque. 

Depending on which engine is selected, the car can be paired with a six speed manual, a six speed automatic or a seven speed double clutch transmission. 

According to Kia, in the future it will be revealed a plug-in hybrid version.
