Jeep has announced plans to introduce in the US the Wrangler Polar Edition model. The special version of the Wrangler was first seen on the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The 2014 Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition is based on the Wrangler Sahara and can be distinguished by a modified front grille, a revised hood and 18 inch alloy special wheels.

On the bodywork you will see some mountain inspired decals and a black fuel filler door. The "Polar" badge, located on the vehicle’s side next to the front fender flares, exhibits the 78° S and 106° E coordinates that correspond to the location of Vostok in Antarctica: the exact point where the absolute severest temperature in the world was recorded at -128.56° F (-89.2° C).
