Jaguar will showcase the XJ Ultimate at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show
this year, a model which represents the "pinnacle of the luxurious,
innovative XJ experience with heightened levels of opulence for
rear-seat passengers".
Simply put, this is the LWB version XJ
with extra added luxury for the Chinese market. Some of the highlights
in this case include two individually tailored rear seats trimmed in
semi-aniline premium natural leather, with power adjustment, lumbar
support, massage and climate functions, a rear business table made from
solid aluminum with a dedicated storage area with two champagne flutes
beneath it, plus a champagne chiller between the rear seats.
The
Jaguar XJ Ultimate 2013 also comes with a full-length, leather-trimmed
centre console with blue accent lighting, a 15-channel, 20 speaker
surround sound system plus a rear seat entertainment package with
headrest-mounted screens and wireless headphones.
Interior finished include
Herringbone veneer, machined aluminium and bespoke LED lighting while on
the outside the XJ Ultimate comes with discreet badging, 20 inch Maroa
forged alloy wheels, and the unique Celestial Black body coating.
The
XJ Ultimate is the first Jaguar available with the new 3.0-litre V6
supercharged petrol engine, but it can also be offered with the
company’s 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol or the 3.6-litre V6
turbocharged diesel.
The 3.0-litre V6 petrol produces 340 PS and 450 Nm while the
5.0-litre V8 is rated at 510 PS and 625 Nm of torque. The V6 diesel on
the other hand promises fuel consumption figures of 40.1 mpg (EU) /
combined cycle.
