As we announced back in August, Infiniti has unveiled their latest Performance Line model, the 2013 IPL G Convertible in Los Angeles.
Apart from the G Coupe this is the second model receiving the automaker’s IPL badge which is reserved for premium performance vehicles, and in this case the car comes with a series of special aerodynamic pieces, a tuned 3.7-litre V6, a new suspension setup and a different exhaust.
Available in either Moonlight White or Malbec Black the 2013 Infiniti IPL G Convertible rides on 19 inch aluminium-alloy wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires and features an unique leather appointed interior with climate-controlled front sport seats, aluminium trimmed pedals, IPL embroidered floor mats plus contrasting red stitching on the seats and steering wheel.
The 3.7-litre V6 which we just mentioned produces 18 additional horses and 6 extra lb-ft than the one in the standard G37 Convertible, so this means the total output reaches 343 HP and 273 lb-ft of torque. These figures transform into motion thanks to a 7-speed automatic transmission which spins the rear wheels via steering wheel mounted magnesium shifters.
