Hyundai has published a couple of pictures and new details about the 2016 Hyundai Ioniq model. “Ioniq embodies Hyundai Motor’s new thinking and bold ambitions for the future. This world-class dedicated hybrid will be the starting point of our future mobility”, said Rag Jung, Head of Project Management Division at Hyundai Motor R&D Center.

The Hyundai Ioniq will have an architecture made of Advanced High Strength Steel combined with lightweight aluminum. The latter material will be used for the hood, tailgate, front and rear back beam and for the suspension parts.

As you may have read, the 2016 Hyundai Ioniq will be available with three different eco layouts. We are talking about a tradition hybrid powertrain, a plug-in hybrid one and a full electric one.
