Hyundai will be showing another high-performance concept at the 2014 SEMA Show.  The supercharged 5.0-liter V8 Genesis sedan called the AR550 by ARK Performance.

As the name indicates, ARK has taken the standard Hyundai “Tau” 420 hp V8 engine and added 130 hp with the addition of a Rotrex Supercharger for a total output of 550 hp.  The concept has ARK Performance intake and exhaust systems which include new downpipes and high-flow catted test pipe to help the engine breathe as well as new engine management.

The Hyundai Genesis AR550 has Airrex air suspension system and stiffer front and rear sway bars.  To stop the car, new Brembo big brakes were added in the front and rear.

On the exterior of the Genesis, ARK included its own bodykit and massive bronze color wheels that widen the stance.  ARK also widened the front and rear bumps and fenders, added new side skirts with carbon fiber and a rear diffuser.   Inside custom Katzkin diamond stitched seats and panels.

This is ARK Performance sixth Hyundai build for SEMA.  Hyundai claims the car has “performance characteristics on par with German super-sedan rivals like Mercedes-Benz AMG and BMW M.”   The car will debut at Hyundai’s press release conference at SEMA tomorrow.
