The first official photos with the higher-performance Honda CR Z MUGEN hybrid coupe have been unveiled today by the Japanese automaker’s UK division and MUGEN Euro.
Even thought performance figures are not public yet, the supercharged Honda CR Z MUGEN is expected to sprint from nought to 60 mpg as quickly as the Civic Type R, thanks in part to its 15 percent increase in power and the weight saving program that shaved 50 kilos from the chassis.
Colin Whittamore from MUGEN Euro said that "We’ve retained the three driving modes from the standard car and economy
ranges from 50+mpg in ‘eco’ mode to mid-30 mpg when tapping into the
supercharged power in a special ‘MUGEN’ mode."
The Honda CR Z MUGEN will appear at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, and based on customer reaction, the automaker will take a decision weather or not to turn this higher-spec model into a limited edition.
