After a world launch on the American market, the new generation of Honda Accord is set to disembark on European soil also. Two sketches released last week, during the Moscow International Motor Salon, announced the design of the Accord’s European version.

The sketches anticipate a car similar to the one already seen in USA, but with minor design changes. This means we are going to have an Accord with pretty much the same lines on both european and american market.

The main differences will be found under the hood. The european Accord is going to be offered along with different engines, including a diesel option. Except the 2.2 liter i-DTEC, found on the current generation, the future sedan might be a potential candidate for the newly introduced 1.6 liter diesel engine. On the current Civic the four-pot delivers 120 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Enough for an eco version of the Accord.

The 2013 Honda Accord could be the main surprise of the Japanese producer at this autumn Paris Motorshow. The french event would be the perfect place for introducing the new medium sedan on the European market.
