The Japanese from Honda are previewing their Geneva bound 2012 Honda Insight, a car which will be seen live in around 11 days from today when the 2011 IAA will officially open its doors to visitors.
This facelift version 2012 Honda Insight wants to underline its commitment to reducing emissions by featuring a new CO2 level of only 96 grammes per Km, as it wants to undermine its rival’s supremacy in this segment, and we’re talking about the Toyota Prius which continues to be incredibly popular.
Apart from mentioning the fact that the 2012 Honda Insight is now more efficient, the automaker also announces that this new version comes with various tweaks made to the engine and transmission which help reduce friction, plus an improved air conditioning system and a new cold storage system.
The exterior has also been refreshed through a series of new elements that include a new grille, a slimmer rear spoiler and a modified tailgate garnish plus the car features a smaller wiper motor for increased visibility and various adjustments made to the suspension for an overall improvement in comfort and stability.
Various interior enhancements have also been made, but Honda promises to be more specific about it once the car will premiere in Frankfurt.
