More news from the Blue Oval this time informing us about the latest addition to the SportVab lineup : the one-off Ford Transit SuperSportVan.
Fitted with the company’s biggest ever diesel engine, the Ford Transit SuperSportVan uses the the range topping 3.2-litre 5-cylinder Duratorq TDCi plant producing 200 PS and 470 Nm of torque between 1,700 and 2,500 rpm. This engine which would normally be available on bigger Transit models, like the Jumbo, is mated with a 6-speed transmission and considering the van has just been unveiled at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, there are no performance or efficiency figures available at this point.
At the exterior the SuperSportVan features Le Mans-style bonnet stripes, twin exhausts, alloy
wheels, low profile 235/45 tyres, front and rear lower spoilers, side
skirts and extended wheel arches. 
Also apart from safety features like ABS, ESP and airbags added as standard, the Ford Transit SuperSportVan includes power deadlocks, rain-sensing windscreen swipers, auto headlights, front fog lights and a load area protection kit. On the optional list the automaker offers leather seats, Satellite Navigation with a 5 inch
colour display, LED cargo lights in and LED daytime running lights.
