Ford updates the current generation Kuga on the UK market. The compact crossover benefits from a more powerful diesel engine and from a list of new technologies.

The most popular diesel engine in the UK, chosen by 95% of Kuga’s customers, the 2.0 liter TDCi was updated and now offers 17 hp more. With a total of 180 hp and 400 Nm, the engine is the most powerful than ever offered on a Kuga and can be mated to Ford’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system.

Engine

The engine range will also see the introduction of a new 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, reducing CO2 emissions to 143g/km from 154g/km, an improvement of more than seven percent over the outgoing 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine. Ford will also offer a 150 hp 2.0-litre TDCi option that delivers 122g/km CO2, which means an improvement of 12 percent.

Interior

Inside the new Kuga, customers will find the new version of the SYNC system, Cruise Control with Adjustable Speed Limiter and Adaptive Cruise Control including Forward Alert, but also with Hands-Free Tailgate, Blind Spot Information System, Active City Stop, Lane Keeping Aid, Lane Keeping Alert, Auto High Beam, Driver Alert, and Traffic Sign Recognition.

On the outside, Kuga will feature new body colors: Ruby Red Metallic, Magnetic Metallic and, for the first time on any Ford vehicle, Tiger Eye Metallic.
