The third Mustang model that received updates for the 2013 MY, apart from the Shelby GT500 and the Boss 302 is the Mustang GT.
The premiere for the 2013 Ford Mustang GT will also take place at the 2011 LA Auto Show and in this case the list of changes have been directed mainly towards styling and technology.
On the outside this latest version features a more prominent grille, slightly changed lower air intakes, a new engine bonnet, high-intensity discharge (HID)
headlamps with two individual LED bars and also newly designed LED taillights featuring a smoked look.
The list of body colour choices has been expanded with two more options which are Gotta Have It Green and Deep Impact Blue.
The new Mustang GT will also be offered with a revamped wheel lineup comprising of 17, 18 and 19 inch wheels with different finishes and colours, while at the interior the main change is represented by the new Recaro seats, which are optional.
In terms of performance the 5.0-litre V8 fitted on the 2012 Ford Mustang GT is around 18 HP more powerful than before, as it is rated at 420 horses, and customers who buy the automatic version, will also have the option of changing gears manually thanks to the new SelectShift function which is now offered as standard.
Other new features for the new Mustang GT include the new GT Track Package which contains everything from the current Brembo Brake Pack and adds an engine cooler, an upgraded radiator and a Torsen differential.
The Brenbo Brake package is now available for both manual and automatic equipped models, while the V6 Performance Package is now available on automatic Mustangs for
