Ford has ‘unveield’ the new Kuga SUV for the European market, but if the car looks familiar, it’s because you’ve already seen it badged as the Escape during last year’s LA Auto Show (the naming used for the North America).
The new Kuga is however differentiated from the Escape due to the diesel engine choices which include a 2.0-litre TDCi which can provide either 140 PS or 163 PS and the 1.6-litre EcoBoost plant. The TDCi engine come linked to manual transmissions as standard but an automatic aill also be available.
The 2013 Ford Kuga provides 442 litres worth of cargo space which can be accessed via the hands-free automatic tailgate, comes with the company’s new SYNC connectivity system, and is also equipped with technologies such as Active Park Assist, Blind Spot Information System.
The new Kuga also features Ford’s new all-wheel-drive system backed by the company’s new Torque Vectoring Control (TVC) system.
