We’ve seen Ford’s Fiesta ST in Concept form several times until now, so its time to find out what this two-door supermini will be all about in production form.
The production version 2013 Ford Fiesta ST has debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show today and the Blue Oval tells us that once the vehicle goes on sale (towards the end of 2012 or early in 2013 in Europe), customers will find a 1.6-litre turbocharged EcoBoost gasoline engine under its hood.
This engine will produce 180 PS (178 bhp) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque through a 6-speed manual transmission which will spin the front wheels, with the above mentioned figures translating into less then 5.0-seconds when it comes to accelerating from nought to 62 mph, and a top speed of 136 mph (219 Kmph).
The 2013 Ford Fiesta ST comes with sporty looking bits and pieces of body trim, unique alloys, a specially tuned chassis that positions the car with 15 mm closer to the ground and a Torque Vectoring Control system along with three Electronic Stability Control modes.
The interior features Recaro seats, a sports steering wheel and various unique toutches.
