Fiat has officially unveiled the 2015 500 facelift model. Despite being called as the New Fiat 500, the Italian city car is just a facelift for the 8 year old model and now comes with 1.800 design changes, even though most of them are hard to spot.

We see new headlights, circular LED DRLs, a trapezoidal nose and some chromed accessories. At the back, Fiat 500 has received new taillights and a modified bumper. As far as the side profile is concerned, the beltline comes with few modifications and with new 15 and 16 inch wheels. The body can be painted in two new colors: Glam Coral and Avantgarde Bordeaux.

Inside the cabin, the 2015 Fiat 500 comes with the Uconnect infotainment system that has a 5 inch touchscreen display. Optionally, customers can order a 7 inch TFT display in the instrument cluster. The seats are now more ergonomic while there is also a new upholstery. In addition, Fiat has added more sound-deadening materials in the wheelhouse and firewall to enable a quieter and more comfortable cabin.

Under the hood, the new 2015 Fiat 500 has Euro-6 compliant engines that can be matted to a five or six speed manual transmissions or with the Dualogic robotized gearbox. At the launch the car will be offered with a 1.2 liter 62 HP engine and with the 0.9 liter unit rated at 85 horsepower or 105 horsepower. Later on, the engine lineup will be expanded with an eco-version of the 1.2 liter unit and with the 1.3 liter diesel unit rated at 95 horsepower. Sales of the facelifted Fiat 500 are programmed to kick off this fall probably after the Frankfurt Motor Show.
