Chrysler is presenting the Dodge Ram Long Hauler Concept, a truck that is most likely the biggest so far, with the longest range and incredible puling power.
Based on the Class 5 Ram 5500 Chassis Cab, the Dodge Ram Long Hauler Concept is design for people who need to tow heavy trailers for long distances, or small business owners who need a ‘work horse’. The Long Hauler will be on display at various events across the U.S. where the automaker will collect feedback in order to make a decision weather or not to take this ‘montruous’ truck into production.
The Dodge Ram Long Hauler Concept has an overall length of 24 feet (197.4 inch wheelbase), measures 79.1 inches in height and weights no less than 9,300 lbs. Its Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) is 37,500 lbs and its fuel tank capacity (thanks to an auxiliary tank) is 170 gallons.
What kind of engine does this truck use? Well it is a 6.7-litre High Output Cummins Turbo Diesel engine delivering 800 lb-ft of torque to the wheels via a 6-speed Aisin AS68RC automatic transmission. This transmission features a 4WD transfer case that is coupled to a 4.88 Dana 110 axle with dual rear wheels.  
The Dodge Ram Long Hauler Concept rides on a full Kelderman Air Suspension and 19.5 inch Alcoa aluminium wheels and inside the cabin the truck features 2+2 leather seating, fowr adjustable footrests for the rear passengers, a rear center console which integrates a refrigerator,cup holders and tray tables. Other options include 115V ans 12V outlets, Wi-Fi Internet connection, a DVD player and numerous storage areas.
