Citroen has released the first pictures and the first details regarding the upcoming generation of the Grand C4 Picasso. According to French manufacturer, the new seven-seater MPV will have a clean look and a simple interior.

The new Citroen Grand C4 Picasso will be based on the PSA new EMP2 platform which cuts weight by 110 kilograms and offers better performance and handling. Thanks to a 1.6 liter diesel engine matted to a manual transmission dubbed ETG6 (Efficient Tronic Gearbox), the seven-seater MPV is rated at 98 g/Km CO2.

The new French MPV has a longer wheelbase, a shorter front overhang, a widened track and a lowered floor. Thanks to all these modifications, the new Grand C4 Picasso adds more interior space.
