You are surely familiar with Superchips’s area of expertise, which is
enhancing performance on everyday cars. So here they are once again
boosting the output this time on the Citroen DS3 Racing.
Thanks to
their ECU remap program the French hatch has gained an additional 26 bhp
at 6,312 rpm and 46 Nm of torque at 3,130 rpm, which means the limited
edition Citroen DS3 Racing is now capable of producing 226 bhp and 321
Nm of torque from its 1.6-litre direct injection twin-scroll
turbocharged engine.
These new output figures have specified
after the car was tested on the dyno, while in terms of performance the
Superchips upgraded Citroen DS3 Racing is expected to ‘eclipse’ the
standard model’s 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of 6.5 seconds and top
speed of 149 mph.
Fuel consumption figures were not negatively
affected by this upgrade, as the car continues to return 42 mpg (UK
rating) in a combined cycle.
The Citroen DS3 Racing ECU remap from Superchips costs 445 GBP. and is suitable for all models produced from January 2011 onwards.
