Yesterday we have shown you the first official leaked pictures of the 2014 Citroen C4 Picasso. Today, the French car maker has officially revealed the new compact MPV. 

On the outside, the French model comes with a heavily inspired design from the Technospace concept. The new C4 Picasso is based on the PSA new EMP2 architecture which brings significant weight savings. The new compact MPV has 4.43 meters long, 1.83 meters wide and 1.61 meters tall, with a boot capacity of 537 liters. 

Inside the cabin, the new car comes with higher quality materials, with a seven inch touch screen display which controls the audio, navigation, air conditioning and phone. Citroen also can install a 12 inch screen above for the instrument panel that can show all the vital infos that the driver needs.

Under the hood, the 2014 C4 Picasso will come with the new e-HDi Airdream unit that was fitted with start-stop system. The diesel engine develops 92 HP and, according to Peugeot, it returns 3.8 liters per 100 km and has CO2 emissions of just 98 g/km. 

Peugeot also offers the 1.6 liter e-HDi 115, the 1.6 liter Blue HDi 150 with a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) for lowering CO2 emissions. For the petrol heads, the French car maker will offer the VTi 120 unit and the THP 155 unit.
