This Citroen C1 ev’ie is part of UK-based Electric Car Corporation’s intention of developing a vehicle powered by a new high capacity battery developed by AXEON, Europe’s largest independent designer, developer and manufacturer of customised advanced lithium-ion battery packs.
The AXEON Citroen C1 ev’ie will initially feature a pre-production battery pack with an energy density of 239 Wh/kg which will combine innovative mechanical design with advanced battery plus Axeon’s battery management system (BMS) that monitors the battery state and controls the key performance parameters.
The existing Citroën C1 ev’ie has a range of more than 60 miles and a
top speed of 60mph. It has been described by Car magazine as “the
electric car class leader” and by Autocar as “the first ‘respectable’
electric city car on the British market”.
