CITROËN is presenting an all-road version of the CITROËN C5, the C5 CrossTourer, at the Geneva Motor Show.

All-road design, lending the new version an assertive personality with specially designed wing extensions, lengthwise matte grey roof bars and matching 18-inch diamond-effect alloy wheels in matte grey, along with chrome-finished wing mirror housings and brushed aluminium protective fairing on the front and rear bumpers. These style attributes are combined with 15-mm higher ground clearance (at up to 70 km/h for Hydractive III+ versions). The fresh and innovative styling makes taking to the road that much more enticing.

Hydractive III+ suspension manages body height in real time, keeping a constant ground clearance whatever the load. The system adapts the flexibility and damping settings in line with driver input and road surface for optimum comfort and handling under all circumstances. The body height is lowered at high speeds to reduce drag. At lower speeds, the C5 CrossTourer rides at two body heights – 6 cm up to 10 km/h and 4 cm up to 40 km/h – for improved clearance. The variable body height also makes loading easier by raising or lowering the load sill. Hydractive III+ suspension is available with all engine versions apart from the HDi 115 manual and the e-HDi 115 Airdream EGS6. Again for comfort, the CITROËN C5 CrossTourer is fit with a massaging driver’s seat with electric lumbar adjustment and full leather upholstery.
