Chevrolet unveiled the new generation Sail during this week Guangzhou Motor Show in China. The small sedan is important for the US manufacturer as can ensure volumes in a very big market.
 
The third-generation Chevrolet Sail is built on a new generation platform and will go on sale nationwide by the end of this year.
 
Exterior 
 
The Sail 3 is 51 mm (2 inches) longer and 45 mm (1.7 inches) wider than its predecessor. In addition, its wheelbase has been extended 35 mm (1.4 inches), providing an even roomier cabin. With 366 liters of trunk space will be a generous offer.
 
Interior 
 
Inside, the Sail 3 has a dual-cockpit design, another Chevrolet signature. It also has an innovative flowing instrument panel that puts controls within easy reach, a dual-mode sunroof and sculpted seats.
 
Drivetrain
  
Engines used on the Chinese market are a new 1.5L DVVT and a 1.3L VVT engines are matched with a choice of a manual or mechanical automatic transmission with start-stop function. The powertrains deliver a significant improvement in power compared with the powertrains in earlier models while reducing combined fuel consumption to as low as 5.3 L/100 km (44 mpg).
