GM announces the European debut for the redesigned 2013 Chevrolet Malibu at this year’s 64th edition Frankfurt Motor Show.
After its premiere on the continent, the car will go on sale sometime in 2012 with powertrain options including a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol rated at 164 horses and a 2.4-litre turbo diesel producing 169 HP. Transmission choices will include manuals and automatics, both of which will spin the car’s front wheels.
As a reminder, the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu has already been introduced on markets like the U.S. and China, and on the automaker’s home market for example, the car will be offered with a 2.4-litre 4-cylinder petrol plant, a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder unit and a V6 for the range topping version.
The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu will be assembled at facilities around the world, and these include the United States, Korea and China.
The new Malibu measures 1,577 m in width and has a wheelbase of 2,737 m, and apart from featuring a quieter and more spacious interior, the car also makes use of higher quality materials and has an extended range of safety features offered as standard.
Pricing for the European spec 2013 Chevrolet Malibu was not announced yet.
