The new generation 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt, a sedan that is bound to be sold in 40 of the world’s countries that won’t be available in the US, has been unveiled in production form by GM.
Developed by the automaker’s Brazil division, the 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt measures 4,479 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,514 mm in height, features a 2,620 mm long wheelbase and a has bot that can accommodate 563 litres worth of luggage.
At the interior the new Cobalt can fit up to five adults, and in terms of design main highlights are the larger headlights and the taillights which have been reshaped.
Brazilian customers will be able to choose between two different engines for the 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt, and these include a 1.4-litre rated at either 97 HP or 102 HP depending of fuel type (gasoline or ethanol) and a 1.8-litre plant for which the output remained unspecified.
On other markets the 2012 Cobalt will also be available with 1.3-litre 4-cylinder engines while in terms of pricing the new compact sedan starts at 39,980 Reals in Brazil (the equivalent of around 23,000 USD).
