GM announced that it will showcase a concept version based on the LaCrosse sedan at the 2011 LA Auto Show next week.
Even though you might have a hard time finding out what make the Buick LaCrosse GL a concept, GM says this car "expresses Buick’s distinctly human kind of luxury – one that is as warmly inviting as it is elegant and refined".
With inspiration drawn from antique jewelry, vintage guitars and keepsake boxes the LaCrosse GL seats, doors and instrument panel surfaces finished in contrasting dark cocoa brown and caramel chocochino leather, ice blue ambient lighting, smooth suede for the headliner and various other soft touch surfaces.
Magdalena Kokoszynska, creative designer on this concept said that "Every surface in the interior of the LaCrosse GL has been crafted with
the knowledge that Buick customers enjoy the finer things in life, but
don’t need to flaunt it"
The GL’s exterior is finished in cabernet red and is complemented by brushed and tinted chrome accents applied on the grille, door handles, deck lid as well as around the windows, headlights and taillights. A pair of satin-finish 20 inch wheels complete the overall aspect as the company’s goal was to keep Buick’s "quietly confident
aesthetic".
