Audi is not the only company previewing their upcoming DTM challenger as BMW has also decided to present its newest racer concept. In this case we get more than a few sketches due to the fact that the BMW M3 Coupe DTM Concept was physically present at a small medial event held in Munich on Friday.
The BMW M3 Coupe DTM Concept will also be seen in the flesh at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, but before we get to find out more about the mechanical parts, the initial set of details mention that under the bonnet the automaker will place an air restricted V8 which will produce around 480 HP.
This engine will be responsible for accelerating the DTM version BMW M3 from 0 to 100 Km/h in close to 3.0 seconds and will also make it reach a top speed of 300 Km/h.
Driving the BMW M3 Coupe in the 2012 DTM season are Andy Priaulx (GB) and Augusto Farfus (BR).
