BMW would like to reconsider the starting price for an i8 in the US, after a unique unit of the supercar, called Concours d`Elegance sold for a new record sum during this year Pebble Beach auction.
 
The BMW i8 Concours d`Elegance was announced for a special auction even since last month. But nobody would have thought that the car will manage to be sold for a final price of $825,000 USD. This represents six times the standard price of $137,500 USD and is a new world record for BMW.
 
The Germans manage to sell their most expensive car ever. The proceeds will go to Pebble Beach Company Foundation.
 
On the outside, BMW Individual offered a unique Frozen Grey Metallic paint, complemented by Dalbergia Brown leather upholstery with BMW i8 embossed headrests and laser engraved "Concours d’Elegance Edition" badging.
 
The host of the auction was famous TV producer Jay Leno, who managed itself the auction for the wonderful sports coupe.
