Today BMW is celebrating its 100th anniversary. 100 years of pure cars. Thanks to this special occasion, BMW has revealed the Vision Next 100 concept, a prototype that offers a glimpse of what the Bavarians are preparing for the next century.

The BMW Vision Next 100 Concept takes shape of a sedan in a coupe-ish body style and was heavily influenced by the i8 model. The car is significantly sleeker and comes with a drag coefficient of only 0.18 which is an impressive thing.

The car has 4.900 mm and was made by a combination between carbon fiber and plastic. Some panels are made from residues obtained during carbon fiber processing.

Inside the cabin, the BMW Vision Next 100 concept is made from recycled and renewable materials which have replaced the traditional ones used in today’s cars. In terms of driving, the Vision Next 100 Concept can work in “Boost” or “Ease” mode. The first one is made for the driver, while the second one works as an autonomous model.

Also inside the cabin and on the body is the introduction of the “Alive Geometry” consisting of almost 800 moving triangles built into the instrument panel and in some areas of the side panels. The Vision Next 100 is a first of a total of four concepts planned by the BMW Group. It will be followed by the Rolls-Royce Grand Sanctuary in June and later this year by two other concepts from MINI and BMW Motorrad.
