BMW has officially published a series of pictures and details with the upcoming 7-Series. According to the German car manufacturer, the upcoming flagship sedan will be up to 130 kilograms (286 pounds) lighter than its predecessor.
This performance was achieved thanks to the use of CFRP, material that was used for the first time in the BMW i series. More than that, the upcoming 7-Series will feature the latest generation of six-cylinder engines and eight-speed Steptronic transmission.
The upcoming German flagship sedan will be fitted with a sophisticated, precision-honed chassis technology and additional chassis control systems and with two-axle air suspension with automatic self-levelling. Inside the cabin, the BMW 7-Series will feature the new generation of iDrive infotainment system. It will use a touchscreen display with gesture control technology that can detect hands movements thanks to a 3D sensor.
In addition, the BMW 7-Series will feature a remote control parking system that will allow the owners to park the car with a push of a button thanks to the BMW Display Key.
