This Saturday a camouflaged BMW 2-Series Coupe prototype was wrecked during testing. The unhappy event took place on the German Autobahn and the local media told us that the testing driver lost control of the car at high speed.
It clipped a side beam barrier for 50 meters and then the car stopped after 150 meters on the center fence. Judging by these photos the 2-Series Coupe that was destroyed was not the extreme M235i version.
According to the same sources, the driver escaped with only minor injuries and this is all that matters.
