BMW has unveiled the 2015 2-Series Convertible model. According to BMW, the 1-Series Convertible successor will be showcased next month at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.

The exterior of the German convertible sports car looks identical to the BMW 2-Series Coupe and the only difference is the soft-top roof. According to the German car manufacturer the retractable roof can be opened or closed in only 20 seconds with a push of a button at speed of up to 50 km/h (30 mph).

The cabin of the 2015 BMW 2-Series Convertible looks identical to the 2-Series Coupe, the only thing new is the button that operates the retractable soft-top roof. At the launch the new 2015 BMW 2-Series Convertible will come with 4 different engines.

The first version of the German convertible is the 220i Convertible which offers a 2.0-liter engine rated at 184 horsepower and 270 Nm peak of torque. 

The same unit was also mounted in the 228i Convertible, but this time it tips 245 horsepower and 350 Nm peak of torque. On the diesel side we have the 220d Convertible, an engine that can put to the ground 190 horsepower and 400 Nm peak of torque. 

The last version offered by BMW is the M235i Convertible which features the 2.0 inline six-cylinder engine rated at 326 horsepower and 450 Nm peak of torque. In this version, the German convertible can sprint from stand still to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.2 seconds, or 5 seconds on the version equipped with the eight-speed automatic gearbox.
