BMW has revealed today the brand new 2014 4-Series Convertible. The BMW 3-Series Convertible successor will be officially revealed to the public at the Los Angeles Auto Show. 

The 2014 BMW 4-Series Convertible has a three piece retractable hardtop with a sound absorbing retractable headliner which reduces noise by up to 2 dB. The roof can be folded up in 20 seconds at speeds of up to 11 mph. More than that, the Bavarian car manufacturer has installed temperature neck warmers which allow the customers to drive even its cold outside.

In the US, the 2014 BMW 4-Series Convertible will be offered in the 428i version. It has a 2.0 liter turbocharged unit with four cylinders that can offer 240 horsepower and 345 Nm of torque. In this version, the 2014 BMW 4-Series Convertible will sprint from stand still to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph. The second version prepared by BMW is the 435i. It has a 3.0 liter motor that can deliver 300 horsepower and 406 Nm peak of torque. The BMW 435i will sprint from not to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.

All these engines will be offered only with an eight speed automatic transmission. 

In Europe, BMW will also offer a 420d version. It has a 2.0 liter diesel engine with 181 horsepower that can be mated with a six speed manual gearbox or with an eight speed automatic transmission. 

The new 2014 BMW 4-Series Convertible will be offered in US in Sport, Luxury and M Sport trim levels. In Europe, the customers will also receive a Modern trim level.

In US, the 2014 BMW 4-Series Convertible will hit the dealerships in the first quarter of the 2014 at a price tag of $49,675 (428i version) and $55,825 (435i variant).
