Do you have a 2013 BMW M5 or M6? Stop driving. Thats what BMW advise you. At least if you are living in the US.

BMW North America issued a safety bulletin that reveals a problem with the S63TU 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine found in the 2013 M5 and M6 cars. It seems that is a major issue with the engine oil pump.

The safety message BMW issued today states that the pump "could experience a sudden loss of pressure which will result in severe engine damage". The customers must not drive the vehicle. The north american division already begun informing the clients, ensuring them that the problem will be solved in the immediate future.

The 2013 M5 sedan, M6 Coupe and Cabrio are fitted with a 560HP TwinPower Turbo V8 mated to a 7-speed M-Double Clutch transmission (M-DCT).
