A 1982 Audi Quattro A1 Group B rally car will be auctioned by the Bohnams house on March 21 in Goodwood. The car was produce in the first quarter of 1982 and wears the chassis number 900012. 

This particular car was driven by Hannu Mikkola. In the 1982 Monte Carlo Rally, he managed to finish in second place, behind Walter Rohrl and Opel Ascona. The car was retired in 1983 and was sold to the Finish VW/Audi importer. Then, the Audi Quattro A1 Group B rally car went to ex-SAAB rally driver, Antero Laine. 

In 1982 and 1984, this model managed to win the Manufacturers’ Championship while in 1983 and 1984 it got the Driver’s Championship. Under the hood of the Audi Quattro A1 Group B rally car is a 2.5 liter engine with 5 cylinders that can deliver 200 horsepower in the road-legal version.

According to some specialists, the car can be sold for about 240.000 to 280.000 GBP.
