The 2017 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S will offer various updates and the most important one is the manual transmission. As you may have read, last month, Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer said that its company will try to keep the manual gearbox alive. And this is a good news.

Not the 2017 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S can be ordered with a seven speed manual transmission or with a Sportshift III seven-speed automated manual.

Regardless of transmission, the 2017 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S will run from stand still to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, while the top speed is clocked at 330 km/h. The V12 6.0 liter engine can deliver 563 horsepower at 6.750 rpm and 457 pound-feet (620 newton meters) at 5,750 rpm.

The seven speed manual will be available as a no-cost option and will feature the dog-leg first gear position. It will also have the AMSHIFT system which can be selected by the driver.
