Italian coachbuilder Zagato has unveiled the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale, a car that celebrates Alfa’s 100th anniversary (1910 – 2010). As the two images that have been released show, the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale is closely tied to the one off TZ3 Corsa model which won the Villa D’Este Design Concept Award in 2010, but unlike the Corsa which is a track car, the TZ3 Stradale is a ‘Avant-garde car’ which in other words meas it is a design exercise.
With only 9 exemplars expected to be assembled, the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale Zagato extracts its power from a front center mounted 4.2-litre V8 engine linked to a six-speed semiautomatic transmission. The car is based on the Viper ACR mechanical chassis and features a carbon fiber body and a tubular steel frame. The TZ3 Stradale is also celebrating the road legal heritage of the Alfa Romeo Zagato coupes which includes models introduced between the 20s and the 90s.
The Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale Zagato chassis number 2 ad 3 will be delivered in Japan and Europe, but at this point pricing is still unknown.
