Autocar has reviewed the latest generation Nissan Micra a while back, and now the crew from FifthGear has taken this new super mini for a test drive.
According to FifthGear the new Nissan Micra, which now features a boring design, does not have an enjoyable chassis, and its soft suspension does not absorb shock as you would expect it to. As opposed to what Nissan claims, that the Micra should take the stress out of city driving, FifthGear thinks just the opposite, considering it a bit blunt and fairly inaccurate.
The new Nissan Micra does however a better job than competitors like the Ford Fiesta when it comes to motorisation and equipment, as well as value for money. Fuel consumption and emission figures are also slightly better, but overall the Nissan Micra is nothing more than a functional car, which is not moder enough for the European market.
