The iPhone controlled minivan was named "Spirit of Berlin" and the completely autonomous vehicle was developed by the Freie Universitaet Berlin. Among special equipment that made the iPhone controlled minivan project possible are various sensors and a drive-by-wire system for unmanned driving.
