Video: Audi Q3 Review

The Brits from AutoExpress have reviewed Audi's latest addition to the Q lineup - the new Q3.  Characterised by being a combination of a conventional hatchback and an SUV the Audi Q3 was launched with the intention of rivaling the BMW X1 and the Range Rover Evoque.

Just like any other Audi, the Q3 features a stunning interior with high quality materials and enough room to accommodate five adults. The engine lineup comprises of a 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel, both turbocharged and featuring direct fuel injection.

Both these engines are offered with two power levels : 175 and 208 HP for the petrol and 138 and 168 HP for the diesel, while transmission choices include a 6-speed manual on the lower spec models, or a 7-speed S-Tronic for the range topping variants.

The new Audi Q3 was definitely built with efficiency in mind, as the company's small SUV is only available with front-wheel-drive, and on 138 HP diesel version its figures indicate that average fuel consumption stands at 54 mpg (UK rating) while CO2 emissions are of only 138 grammes per Km.

In fact the Audi Q3 is the most efficient car in its class an has the lowest running costs. Also in terms of dynamics AutoExpress thinks the new Q3 is better to drive than the BMW X1 and is just as good to drive as the Range Rover Evoque, while also being more efficient than both of them.

Pricing for the new Audi Q3 starts from just under 25,000 GBP to just over 31,000 GBP, so overall Ingolstadt's newest SUV is definitely a recipe for success.
