Ford has officially unveiled the all-new EcoBlue diesel engine. According to the Blue Oval, this new engine will be a game changer in terms of efficiency, fuel consumption, and power.

The new Ford EcoBlue unit has 2.0 liter and will be offered for the first time on the Transit and Transit Custom in three power stages: 105 horsepower (77 kilowatts), 130 hp (96 kW), and 170 hp (125 kW). More than that, the torque is delivered starting at 1.250 rpm.

According to Ford, the new EcoBlue engine emits ultra-low emissions in line with the Euro 6 standards. This result has been achieved thanks to a sophisticated after-treatment processes for exhaust gasses.

As you can imagine, Ford will put this engine into the passengers cars shortly after the official debut on the Transit versions.
