Jaguar unveiled its new 2013 F-Type two-seater convertible on the eve of the Paris Auto Show.
On the outside, the aluminum body evokes the E-Type in details like the center hood bulge and the line of the body and the rear flare. But inside, rather than now commonplace touch controls for everything, the heating and ventilation are old-fashioned rotary knobs.
Under the hood, there are two different supercharged engines: 3-liter V6 unit with 340 horsepower for the normal F-type and 380 horsepower for the S, and a 5-liter V8 with 495 horsepower.
All versions are equipped with the new Stop/Start system to enhance fuel economy under certain driving conditions. The car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph comes in 5.1 seconds for the F-TYPE, 4.8 for the S model and 4.2 for the V8 S.
