Subaru XV

Subaru has unveiled their new XV crossover today in Frankfurt. 

Thecar expresses "Enjoyment and Peace of Mind', with everything included ina package that combines a comfortable and spacious interior with the characteristics of an SUV.

Through the Subaru XV the automaker debuts the new generation 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre Boxer engine  and the 2.0-litre Boxer Diesel engine, as well as the new Lineatronic CVT transmission and the Auto Start Stop system with Idle reduction.

Theinformation provided today is in reference with the European version Subaru XV which as we already mentioned will come in three Euro 5 compliant grades. These include the 1.6i engine which is fitted on the base model and which replaces the current 1.5-litre petrol plus the 2.0iand the 2.0D. All these models offer improved fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions.

On the XV 1.6i the engine produces 114 PS (84 kW) and enables the car to sprint from 0 to 100 in 13.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 179 Km/h. The XV 1.6i requires 6.5 litres of fuel per 100 Km in a combined cycle, while CO2 emissions are of 151 grammes per Km.

TheXV 2.0i packs 150 PS (110 kW), and its 0 to 100 Km/h sprint time is 10.5 seconds. This version does 100 Km on 6.9 litres of fuel and its CO2 levels are 160  grammes per Km.

Finally the diesel version Subaru XV 2.0D produces 147 HP (108 kW) and 350 Nm of torque and goes from nought to 100 km/h in9.3 seconds. Efficiency figures in this case are 6.8 litres per 100 Km and 146 grammes of CO2 per Km.

The Subaru XV measures 4,450 m in length, 1,570 m in height, 1,780 m in width and has a wheelbase measuring 2,635 m while its cargo area volume is 380 litres or 310 litres with the Grand tire. 

Thecrossover comes with numerous storage spaces, an advanced infotainment system that includes a 4.3 inch color LCD, Bluetooth Handsfree, USB and Ipad connectivity and a system can intuitively perform several operations in response to voice commands while driving.
