Subaru XV Concept

The Subaru XV Concept was unveiled at the 2011 Auto Shanghai today, a new crossover which 'blends SUV practicality with a fashionable form'. Designed around the word 'Protern' which is coined from 'proffesional tool' and 'trendy design' the Subaru XV Concept features a series of new elements like the restyled hexagonal grille, hawk-eye headlamps, a rear area also characterised by hexagonal shapes plus a roof that has been replaced by panoramic glass.

Some other features include aluminium alloy wheels with silver spokes, black rims and blue center caps, and the Electro Yellowgreen body colour which according to Subaru embodies electrifying performance, and excitement.

At the interior the Subaru XV Concept makes use of silvery white leather and 'yellowgreen' piping while the center console features three multifunctional displays (for navigation, audio and vehicle

information). There is also an LCD monitor positioned between the combination meters which allows the driver to check the images captured with the vehicle's EyeSight cameras.

The Subaru XV Concept measures 4,450 m in length, 1,800 m in width and 1,620 m in height, has a wheelbase of 2,635 m and extracts power from a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder Horizontally-Opposed DOHC engine which is linked to a Lineatronic CVT transmission.
