Autocar have taken the 2012 Rolls Royce Phantom Series 2 out for a drive in order to conclude if this is the ultimate way to travel by land these days.

After discussing the minor exterior changes, the list of interior improvements and the fact that this facelifted Phantom now comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission that basically makes gear shifting imperceptible, the British journalist ends up by saying that this new model is certainly very relaxing to drive and to be driven in.

He also notes that the Phantom Series 2 is certainly in line with one Rolls Royce's founders' philosophy (Henry Royce), who said "take the best that exists and make it better".
