Our colleagues from Automotive News have published a recent report about the new Ford Mustang. According to them, the 2015 Mustang will soon get a 10 speed automatic transmission.

The new transmission will replace the current six-speed automatic gearbox. For now the details are scarce, but this change will be made expressly for the customers outside North America.

More than that, the same report is saying that the new 10 speed transmission will be available on the F-150 pick-up truck at the end of 2015 for the 2016 model year.

According to Automotive News, this new gearbox will be shared with General Motors. In return, Ford will get the 9 speed automatic transmission for it’s for wheel drive models.
