Renault Stays in Formula 116 December 2009 07:48:35 The French manufacturer's engines for Red Bull Racing will get buit at the company's Viry-Chatillon factory, the same site that supplies powerplants for Renault's F1 team. Even though Renault hasn't made any clear statement regarding this matter, various sources are speculating that Genii Capital owned by business man Gerard Lopez, has bought around 75 percent shares from Renault's Formula 1 team, as it was essential step in keeping costs at a reasonable level for competing in the 2010 season.
On the other hand rumors are saying that Renault chose to stay in Formula 1 as the Concorde Agreement requires them to compete until 2012.
