Renault’s South Korean arm has published additional details for the new SM7 sedan.
Developed over the course of 32 months the Samsung Renault SM7 has been designed to offer the ‘ultimate motoring experience’, at the company’s expense of 400 billion won (207 million Euro) in R&D.
When compared to the previous generation the new SM7 features a more spacious cabin, especially at the rear where passengers will sit more comfortably due to the extended knee space, while in terms of design the car looks more upmarket, due to its prominent grille and the simple yet unique headlights and taillights.
Power for the Renault Samsung SM7 will be provided by two Nissan sourced engines : one is a 2.5-litre V6 producing 190 HP and 243 Nm of torque which will require 9-litres of fuel per 100 Km and the other is a 3.5-litre V6 packing 258 HP and 330 Nm of torque. The second engine is expected to return 10.4-litres per 100 Km in a combined cycle.
The Renault Samsung SM7 price ranges from 30 to 39 million won, meaning from around 19,700 to 25,600 Euro.
