Introduced for the first time during this year Goodwood Festival of Speed, the new Range Rover Sport SVR will strip down the camouflage on August 14th, during a special event.

Land Rover itself announced this through a new teaser video of the most powerful Range Rover ever created. The SVR version, created by a special performance division inside Land Rover, will use a 542bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8 under the bonnet. This will make the car able to sprint from 0-62mph in around 4.8 seconds.

To cope with that power, the performance version will have a firmer suspension, torque vectoring and active body control to help limit roll.

A final price hasn’t been confirmed, but it should cost just under £100,000.
